Q. Are you seeking owner operators or executive owners?
A. Owner Operators. We want our owners to be actively involved in overseeing operations, marketing, and business development. A background in beauty or licensure in hair care or extensions is not required. While relevant experience is appreciated, success in this role is driven by leadership, team development, and operational excellence rather than direct service work.

As a Mane Techniques franchisee, I commit to the following:

Q. Can I own more than one salon?
A. Yes. We believe owners who will operate multiple units, will see the most success. We offer discounts on initial franchise fees for owners who commit up front to more than one salon.
Q. How much space do I need for this salon?
A. Between 2,800 and 3,000 sf with adequate parking and preferably drive by traffic. We have specific site criteria for Mane Techniques artisanal salons – we will help to evaluate sites that will be more ideal than others.
Q. How long does it take to open?
A. You should be able to open within 9 to 12 months of signing, depending on how quickly you complete the pre-opening steps and training.
Q. How many employees are needed to operate the salon?
A. Staffing requirements can begin with a small team of approximately three employees; however, we recommend planning for rapid growth. For optimal performance, an artisanal salon should scale to a team of 10–12 stylists to fully utilize chair capacity and appointment availability.
Q. What are the startup costs and what do they include?
A. Startup funding includes the initial franchise fee and other estimated costs such as 3rd party professional fees, insurance, equipment, furniture, initial marketing and 3-months of working capital.
Q. How much will the business make in a year?
A. We will be able to share our Financial Performance Representation, called an Item 19, in our Franchise Disclosure Document which highlights affiliate performance and history. This can be a useful tool to help you evaluate the revenue potential of your individual business.
